Putting on a show
The Compass Theatre and Winston Churchill Theatre both host productions put on by local people performing in theatre shows, concerts, dance school presentations, school plays, readings and interactive theatre. These pages provide key information on ticketing, publicity, technical information, working with children, copyright and licensing, and insurance and safety.
"We love performing at the Compass... everyone at the theatre is so helpful both in the initial planning and during the week of the show." Hillingdon Musical Society
Ticketing your event
Hillingdon Box Office sells tickets for all events at the Compass Theatre, and for some events at Winston Churchill Theatre, Manor Farm's Great Barn and other venues.
Promoting your event
Getting an audience to come and see your show can be a challenge. Those hiring Hillingdon's theatre spaces are responsible for their own publicity, but with enough notice here are some useful ways to get the word out.
Working with children and animals
If children aged 16 or under are performing at your event, you will have responsibilities for their welfare, safety and supervision.
Copyright and licensing
Whatever you are performing, the chances are there will be a copyright owner involved.
