Ticketing your event

Hillingdon Box Office sells tickets for all events at the Compass Theatre, and for some events at Winston Churchill Theatre, Manor Farm's Great Barn and other venues.

Online

Your audience can book 24 hours online via a page dedicated to your show or event on our website, and/or a direct link that you can email to your potential audiences or feature on your own website. There are currently no booking fees to pay, and customers can choose to either have digital tickets (which they can show on the door via their phone screens), or to have tickets waiting to collect on their way in to see the show.

Over the phone

Your audience can book tickets by calling 01895 250615. There are no booking fees to pay when booking over the telephone and customers can choose their seats and have the option to either collect their tickets on the way to see the show or to have them emailed as e-tickets (these can either be printed and shown to our ushers on the door, or shown to our ushers on a device screen).

In person

For events we are selling tickets for, Hillingdon Box Office opens with volunteer support, from 45 minutes before the show starts, until 15 minutes after the start, alongside regular opening times at the Compass Theatre, Tuesday to Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Subject to availability, we can reserve unpaid tickets for an agreed period (excluding the event date itself), to allow you to arrange your visit. Reservations can be requested by emailing boxoffice@hgfl.org.uk or calling 01895 250615

Going on sale

For tickets to go on sale, we need the following information:

  • title of event
  • name of group presenting the event
  • date(s) and start time(s)
  • venue
  • prices and any concessions to be offered*
  • a single line or phrase description of your event
  • a longer description of your event (excluding the information above)
  • a JPEG image to illustrate the event that you have all relevant permissions to use.

Concessions

You are not obliged to offer any concessions, offers or discounts. Where offered, concessions commonly include discounts for under-16s, over-60s, people who are registered disabled, those in full-time education or job seekers.

How much does it cost?

We take a commission on the tickets we sell. Any tickets we print off for you to sell yourselves incur a small charge per ticket to cover the cost of ticket stock.

There is a minimum charge for ticketing 'free' events.

Within 2 to 3 weeks of your event finishing, your ticket income less commission and vat is then either returned to you by BACS or taken off any outstanding hire charges owed at the time.

If you have questions or would like to check availability for putting on a show, email artsvenues@hillingdon.gov.uk.

Promoting your event

Getting an audience to come and see your show can be a challenge. Those hiring Hillingdon's theatre spaces are responsible for their own publicity, but with enough notice here are some useful ways to get the word out.
