This year's Summer Reading Challenge takes place from Saturday 5 July to Saturday 13 September.
Developed by The Reading Agency in partnership with Libraries, the theme for this year is Story Garden - Adventures in Nature and the Great Outdoors - and it's all about taking reading to the great outdoors.
Volunteers needed
Are you 14 to 17-years-old and living or studying in Hillingdon? Why not apply to be a volunteer this year and help promote and deliver events and activities to children taking part in our Summer Reading Challenge?
Between Saturday 5 July and Saturday 13 September, children will be able to join for free in any Hillingdon Library.
Visit a library and borrow books at least 4 times during the summer (we recommend aiming to read at least 6 books). For each visit, children will get an entry into a prize draw (which they can win if they complete 4 visits).
Collect the reward stickers as you borrow books - there are 4 visits to complete.
Please note: Children wishing to take part will need to be a member of Hillingdon libraries - joining is free and easy.
