Compass Theatre's wardrobe is packed-full of theatrical costumes and accessories - cared for and hired out by a team of volunteers.
Income made through costume hire goes to the Friends of Ickenham Hall, who raise funds for improvements at the theatre and the adjacent listed building.
The following costume hire rates apply between April 2024 and March 2025.
Individual costume hire
Adult costumes: £21.50 per item, per week
Child costumes: £14.50 per item, per week
Accessory items: From £5 per item, per week
Deposit: £30 for the first 3 items, plus £10 per additional item
Production bulk hire
Save when hiring out costumes in bulk (in the same transaction).
10 to 20 items: £110 for week 1, plus £55 per subsequent week (£100 deposit required)
21 to 50 items: £142 for week 1, plus £71 per subsequent week (£150 deposit required), £150 deposit.
51 to 100 items: £213 for week 1, plus £107 per subsequent week (£200 deposit required)
100+ items: £426 for week 1, plus £213 per subsequent week (£250 deposit required)
Reserving costumes
Items can be set aside for a maximum of 3 weeks before hire begins. This allows production companies time to book appointments to try costumes on for size.
