Battle of Britain 85
This year marks the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain - the first campaign of the Second World War to be fought entirely from the air.
For 16 weeks, from the 10 July until the 31 October 1940, Fighter Command defended the skies against relentless aerial attacks across the United Kingdom. As the headquarters of No.11 Group, this site played a vital role in Britain's wartime air defence system, coordinating the Royal Air Force's response across the South East and London.
To mark the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, we're holding the following events in Hillingdon.
